KST A to Z

Abdominal mass

Casey Pride, DC

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

We did chiropractic mission work in the Dominican Republic. At the time, I was doing more Applied Kinesiology than KST, but the language barrier made it very difficult to muscle test the patients, so I switched to the OD while I was there. After using the OD instead of the muscle test that week, I decided to continue using KST, and I haven't gone back to muscle testing, except to verify OD findings.

A woman came into the clinic shouting at the staff. I asked my translator what she was yelling about, and my translator answered, "She says she wants to be seen right now, and she's in a lot of pain."

I calmly told her she was next in line, and I'd be with her very shortly. She dove onto the table face down. I had her turn over so I could speak to her and take her history. To summarize, she had excruciating abdominal pain, pain in both arms and both legs, and constant headaches. She had not had a bowel movement in 8 days. She said she had been very fat, and lost lots of weight very quickly. She had a large, palpable abdominal mass, her supraclavicular lymph nodes were swollen to the size of large grapes, and she had a mass the size of an orange in her axilla.

My first thought was "this woman will be dead in 6 months.” Seeing what KST did for that woman, I will never think something like that again.

I adjusted her 3 days in a row. After the 1st KST adjustment, she said she'd gone to the bathroom, and the pain in her arms, legs and head was gone. During the second adjustment, she opened up saying she lost her daughter to a stroke, and she was the sole caretaker of her 7-year-old grandson. I asked the translator to continue to talk to her about the loss of her daughter, as I corrected her in that emotional posture.

After her 3rd visit all her pain was gone, she was going to the bathroom regularly, her supraclavicular lymph nodes were not swollen, and her abdominal and axillary masses were gone. She had no more complaints. I was blown away that and will never doubt the healing power of the human body.
