A patient with asthma came into my office. She was experiencing a recent sinus infection, and her breathing was very labored. She had been taking her inhaler all day but could barely speak.

I checked her, and the first priority was a lateral sternum. I also found rib heads and cleared them. I asked her to take a deep breath, and to her surprise she was able to take her first full breath in days. I never would have checked the sternum without KST, so I am grateful for this!
