KST A to Z
Alzheimer’s Disease

I went last Thursday to visit my mother who lives 800 miles from me and is in a memory care assisted living unit. She has been getting worse, and when I got there she did not know who I was, which was very emotional for me.
I adjusted her asking OD if a brain balance adjustment was needed. Yes! What side needed to be strengthened? Right!
I asked what sensory input was needed, in her case it was snapping my fingers in the left ear, bringing my fingers in and out of her left visual field and having her smell something with the right nostril (smell of course doesn't cross over as the other senses do) all while adjusting her on the left Ilium.
Within 20 minutes it was like she woke up and started asking some questions and the next day she knew who I was, and she even asked questions which were way beyond her abilities of the previous months.
Her caregiver said that she had to dress my mom every day but the morning after her brain balance adjustment my mom dressed herself. I know she still has severe Alzheimer’s, but it made a major difference and gave some quality to our visit.
