The patient is a 61-year-old woman undergoing chemotherapy for liver and lung cancer. She came in hoping I might relieve numbness and tingling in her extremities.

The first round of chemotherapy had not been successful, and she was suffering quite badly under the second round. Over the following weeks the numbness and tingling eased, she walked more spritely, and felt stronger.

She stopped care because she was feeling so low from the chemo side effects, but came back two weeks later because the latest scan showed her liver was clear, saying, "something you are doing is helping me."

Latest scan shows lung and liver all clear with only minor findings in lymph nodes behind stomach. I am sharing the story because I was pleasantly surprised that there was any response at all, then was amazed at how far she has come.
