Compression fracture of C2

A long-time patient came in, she could barely stand or move her head. I used KST and she felt a lot better. What's interesting is that she hit her head on a cabinet about six weeks ago and never got much better.
She has good medical intuition and thought she either had meningitis or a compression fracture of C2. I took an X-ray but was pretty sure it's virtually impossible to get a compression fracture of C2 without dying, but the film showed a little 'buckling' of the odontoid! It did look like a healed compression fracture.
I told her to take it to her orthopedist; the hospital told her the same thing, virtually impossible, but it looks like she did it about six weeks ago.
