KST A to Z
Dental - toothache
Sandy (Wayne) Watt, DC
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
My CA came in and said that she had a terrible toothache and "would you have a look at it?" I said certainly, as long as she didn't tell me which tooth it is.
I asked the OD, "Is there an issue with a tooth? Yes. Lower jaw? No. Upper jaw? Yes. Left side? Yes." Negative finger picks out the second last molar. I asked, "Is that the tooth?" "Yes, it is," she says.
This is a lesson in how to approach a patient with the OD. Trust it and follow it. I adjusted the tooth as the OD directed and her pain disappeared.
