Disc/sciatica/back – MRI surgical candidate

A 56-year-old male patient presented with moderately severe low back pain of three weeks' duration with sciatic radiation to the right heel. He injured his back putting a heavy plow on his truck.
He saw an orthopedist and had an MRI of the lumbar spine that showed significant L4/L5 nerve root encroachment due to disc prolapse. He didn't want surgery.
I used KST for three weeks at which time he had no residual leg or back pain; he returned to full duty work.
