I have been seeing a 23-year-old Down syndrome patient, who had scoliosis fusion from L1 to T2 with a rod.
She is moderately functioning, but since coming to see me, she has been in great spirits, speaking more readily, and using phrases like "are you kidding me," "Get outta here," and many others. None of which she was able to communicate prior to getting care.
She sleeps more and deeper, and her mom is thrilled. She loves coming in, and always gives me a high five and hug after her adjustment. She has become one of my favorite people to work on. Such a blessing.
