A patient came in today who had just recently been electrocuted with 220v while working in a kitchen. It blew her body about two feet away; her contacts fell out!
Her hand and arm were really shaky where the current went in, and her heart rate/BP were high. We looked up the side effects of 220v electrocution, and elevated blood pressure was one. We checked her blood pressure pre-adjustment - it was 179/130, pulse 96.
I adjusted her KST in the three postures she had assumed during her electrocution experience. We rechecked her blood pressure after that POS was clear = 153/98, pulse 91! What a change in less than 5 minutes!
