KST A to Z
Emotional Chronic Pain, Karate Class
Betty Lou Delich, D.C.
Shorewood, Wisconsin
A 23-year-old woman was suffering from chronic pain since she was 9. She had been to various MDs and chiropractors with no relief.
Using KST emotions surfaced on her 3rd visit. Her mother had made her go to a karate afterschool program the whole summer that she HATED, out of fear she'd be attacked or kidnapped. Her pain and migraines began after she started karate.
The posture of subluxation for the emotion was sitting on the floor cross legged, palms up on her lap (the position they sat in for hours). She has improved tremendously - pain decreased to mild and occasional; she did not end up in the hospital this winter, unlike her usual 5-6 hospital visits every winter.
These stories are practitioner-reported experiences presented for educational and historical purposes. Individual experiences vary. They are not medical advice, do not establish that KST treats or cures any disease, and should not be used as a reason to delay appropriate or emergency care or independently discontinue prescribed medication.
