The patient is a sixty-year-old female with acute right upper thoracic pain following a cramped truck trip. Six visits later there was only minor improvement.

I asked OD if there was an emotional event affecting her health. Yes: age 14, angry with her mother. I mentioned this and she said: when I was 14 my mother repeatedly told me to get my hair out of my face. One day I snapped back with the F word! She dragged me to the salon and had them give me a brush cut. I never really talked to her after that.

Cranials and cervicals came up. On the next visit she told me she'd been pain-free since that last visit.
