KST A to Z

Emotional trauma and death of a parent

Tanja Murphy, DC

Hastings, New Zealand

A patient kept a very bad experience (mother's death when she was only 7 years old) hidden and buried. She became an orphan when her mother fell out of a ski lift, hitting her head on a rock. Her father had died in a car accident years earlier. Grandparents raised her but showed no love or affection.

She grew up, married, had two children, and nursed her husband through terminal cancer. During intake, when asked about accidents or falls, she started crying. I started KST, getting her to think of her mother. After the fifth correction of sphenoid and temple bones she smiled and said, "I can see her standing there and she has a big smile on her face!"

At the end of the session, she looked more than ten years younger (chronological age 67). She has not used her crutches since that visit.
