A family came in together for their appointment. I was checking one of the two kids when I felt the need to include the mom in the adjustment. I asked OD if I should and got a "yes." I had the mother and child hold hands as I checked the boy again, and suddenly had another thought: the whole family should be together. OD said "yes."

I had the whole family standing together holding hands while I adjusted each person as needed until everyone was done, following the OD throughout. The mother reported an amazingly loving drive home with laughing and closeness they had not felt in a while. Several years later she still recalls that adjustment and how it improved their family life.
