KST A to Z

Fever

Josh Blume, DC

Centralia, Washington

I'm finding something interesting regarding fevers: the ligament between the ischial tuberosity and coccyx to be 'hot' (ischial coccygeal ligament).

With KST I ask if I should use my thumb and hold firm pressure or use the arthrostim, then how long to hold it (up to three-four minutes), and check to see if it cleared. It's worked on three different patients so far.

I tried this on my girlfriend's four-year-old son. He had a 103.4 temperature before I did KST. Less than an hour after adjusting I rechecked his temperature and it had dropped to 97.7!!! He was no longer sleepy, grumpy, or lethargic.
