Foot swelling, pain and discoloration

A 52-year-old-woman presented with severe pain in her right foot with swelling and a dark purple color, ice cold to touch. Her orthopedist diagnosed a 5th metatarsal non-union fracture with no circulation and no healing. She wore a boot for 3 months with no improvement.
With KST protocols I adjusted her ankle: cuboid and talus and the non-union fracture with the arthrostim. By the 3rd visit her foot went from deep purple to pink and was noticeably warmer; she could put some weight on it without pain for the first time in 3 months. After one month of twice-weekly care the swelling and discoloration were totally gone.
Orthopedic X-rays revealed the fracture 85% healed; the MD could not believe her sudden rapid progress. She is now 100% improved and still comes in once a month for checkups.
