Insomnia - circadian rhythm

Kris Laubach, DC

Muncy, Pennsylvania

I have a patient coming in for chronic low back pain. While dealing with this, he mentions he cannot sleep at night. I reviewed the sleep questions posted on the forum and found things to adjust; the following visit showed no change to his ability to fall asleep, but he says he can sleep just fine during the day.

So I ask his OD if his circadian rhythm is off - yes. I ask priority, and it sends me to a spot on the sagittal suture just above the pineal gland. I adjusted it with the mental image of resetting a clock. He comes back Monday and says he is finally sleeping all night long.

Message for KST practitioners: If someone is having trouble sleeping during the time of day they'd like to be asleep, check their circadian rhythms.
