KST A to Z

Knee pain/low back pain/smoking

Patricia Coughlin-Baitinger, DC

Berwyn, Pennsylvania

A 23-year-old male was complaining of pain in his knees and low back, more pronounced while standing all day as a chef. He also expressed the desire to quit smoking.

During the first few visits, the OD sent me to correct cranial, lumbar, and sacral subluxations, with marked decrease in pain. On the fourth visit, the OD took me to his knees and an emotional component of feeling 'less than, unworthy, and confused' around age 21.

Knee pattern was adjusted, then L2 and L3. He explained this is when he first started smoking, deciding whether to continue college. The next visit, his knee pain was gone, and the OD took me to the habit pattern. He weaned off cigarettes and now has no desire to smoke, feeling great one and a half months later.
