KST A to Z
Knee surgery canceled

Cathy V is a 38-year-old female who has been a patient on and off for many years. She decided to begin playing soccer, and during practice her toes and forefoot dug into the ground and she went down.
She was taken to the ER, no fractures found. Her family doctor recommended physiotherapy for eight months, which gave some improvement but she couldn't straighten her leg completely and was scheduled for surgery.
She said my office was her last try before surgery. I checked her using KST: the knee pattern, ipsilateral post/inf pubic bone, proximal femur post/sup, talus anterior. I adjusted her in the posture of subluxation (POS) with toe dug into the carpet.
She stood up and completely straightened her knee; she danced around laughing and bending and straightening her leg.
