Menopause/peri-menopausal related sleep difficulties

Ellen Wolk, DC

Walthan, Massachusetts

A 52-year-old dancer reported that she had not had a full/good night's sleep in eight years. I checked her and in addition to adjusting her spine, adjusted her sphenoids anterior bilaterally.

She had her first full and refreshing night's sleep in years after that. If she doesn't come in for a while, the difficulty sleeping returns and those sphenoids come up again.

Now she comes in every 2 weeks, and that seems to keep her sleeping. She has since referred two other peri/menopausal women in their 50s from her dance school, and they both are sleeping better since adjusting those sphenoids.

I have been getting a reputation as the doctor to go to for peri-menopausal related sleep difficulties.
