Was checking a long-time patient the other day. It came up that a pain in her side was still hanging around and was increasing. She is so freaked out over this that she is scheduled for exploratory surgery.

Her history included severe multiple rib injuries from a couple of years ago and prior breast cancer.

I asked about soft tissues, connective tissues, deeper levels of rib injuries coming to the surface; nothing. Then I asked a general question: "Is there anything we can do to help?" Located a point on left side. "Oh yeah, that's where I had the radiation treatment." Aha!

Is this a radiation burn? OD-yes! My explanation was that when you build a really big campfire, it scorches the earth for many years so that nothing can grow.

Follow-up question: is there an abundance of energy here (unresolved trauma)? OD-no. Paucity of energy? OD-yes!

I adjusted her, and OD said she'd have relief within two hours. Two hours later I get a call: "miracle this," "amazing that."
