KST A to Z
Rare tropical disease, uticaria

Sequoia is a 9-year-old boy who developed some sort of viral-like illness of an acute nature while journeying between Nepal and Thailand in October 2010.
His illness didn't develop into much other than a cough and uticaria, which covered his body in a transient itchy hive-like rash with reported burning on his palms and soles. The uticaria persisted for about 6 months and seemed to flare with exposure to water.
We tried natural remedies and Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture, with only slight short-term improvement. No one knew what was causing it.
Finally, I used KST. The OD told me the uticaria was in response to contact with a poisonous plant in Nepal that he had touched, and told me when it occurred. He confirmed touching something while trekking that pricked his finger. The OD said it could be resolved with chiropractic adjustments alone, giving frequency and timeline.
Within just a few weeks of adjusting 2-3 times per week using the arthrostim (which he calls the Punisher!), the uticaria was gone. It has not returned in the past 4 months.
