KST A to Z

Separation anxiety/night terrors

Michael Whitman, DC

Brazil, Indiana

Two-and-a-half-year-old boy and girl twins were brought to my office. I found sphenoid patterns on both, T6-L2 and disk lesions on the little girl with diarrhea.

The little boy was withdrawn and would not make eye contact. I had the grandmother repeat his mother's name. She was in Florida and had significant problems of her own. I checked the OD as she talked to the boy and adjusted accordingly.

I also had the little boy look up, down, and round and round, and adjusted accordingly (ocular lock). When I asked him to smile, he didn't and elicited an OD for a panic pattern. After addressing the pattern and sphenoid again, he smiled. The grandmother wrote:

"I brought my twin 2.5 year old grandchildren to Dr. Whitman; one had diarrhea, digestive problems, and night terrors and the other had severe separation anxiety and was withdrawn and would not speak to anyone. He also showed signs of allergies with dark circles under his eyes.

After one week, my granddaughter's diarrhea was gone along with the night terrors and my grandson had become a whole new child; he started being social with everyone around him." RP
