Shoulder connected to the Pterygoid?

The patient is a semi-pro basketball player experiencing persistent left shoulder pain that is improving with care. But today there was a significant change.
I thought of asking the question "Is there anything I am missing for this problem?" What came up was left pterygoid process while moving his shoulder in POS with more than 90-degree abduction.
I then asked him to move his shoulder, and he said that it no longer hurt.
What was interesting is that today, before the adjustment I noticed that he had something behind his two front teeth. After the adjustment, prompted by the pterygoid, he mentioned that 3.5 years ago he had his two front teeth knocked out and it took over 2 years of dental surgeries to reconstruct them. His 2 front teeth are screwed into his maxilla!
