KST A to Z

Shoulder pain and emotions

Doug Dickman, DC

Rostrevor, SA, Australia

A patient hurt her shoulder a few weeks ago and had pain putting her arm behind her back. Restriction was corrected.

She came back a few weeks later complaining the pain was getting worse.

I corrected emotional stress which gave some relief. The next visit, although slightly better, still had restriction, pain and also some emotion tied to her young son having psychological issues.

OD said yes to sadness. She said her mother is dying of cancer.

Put patient into POS and corrected her. Still could not put arm behind back as normal but a lot better. I checked the emotions for shoulder in a reference guide. The main emotion that showed up for her was money, finance etc. She then told me that they have trouble paying a tax bill.

Put her into POS and corrected what showed, when OD said all done, her arm movement was normal with no more pain. Her problem was due to two completely unrelated and different types of emotions, both of which affected her shoulder.
