adjacent vertebra rotating in opposite directions

Disc

located between the vertebrae, they act as shock absorbers, give flexibility, strength and curves to the spine. When under intense they may bulge, or protrude (herniate) or distort in other ways.

the apparent dropping of one side of the occipital bone. It is used as a binary biofeedback device.

Ocular lock

a fixation revealed when the eyes are moved in different directions

bone at the top of the mouth, behind the upper front teeth

POS (posture of subluxation)

a phenomenon whereas subluxations, stress, blockages or other distortions are revealed in certain physical or mental postures

Pattern

bones that distort or subluxate together, often associated with certain conditions ie panic pattern, menopause pattern, trauma pattern, hump pattern

Priority (priorities)

the order by which the body needs correction

Pubic bone

the part of the hip bone that joins in the front. The pubic bones separate a little during the birth process.

Pubic symphysis

where the pubic bones connect in front

Remote work/adjustment

non-local analysis and adjustment/correction

Retracing

the temporary return of old symptoms as a result of improved physical/emotional function. It's a part of the healing process.

Ribs

attach to the thoracic vertebra in the back and the sternum in the front

Sacrum

a triangular shaped bone at the bottom of the spine. It is made up of fused bones named S1, S2 to S5. Under the sacrum is the coccyx.

Sciatica

an intense, incapacitating pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve

Sphenoid

a large cranial bone that holds the forebrain and affects the movement of other cranial bones

Sternum

commonly called the breastbone. Where the ribs join in front.

Subluxation

a distortion or interference that interferes with body function

Surrogate

using a third person as a stand-in or substitute for the patient

Suture

where the skull bones join

Temporal bone

cranial bone on the side of the head. The ear connecteds to it.

Thoracic

mid-back. There are 12 thoracic vertebrae named T-1, T2 to T12.

TMJ

joint where the jaw touches the skull

Wave

a KST procedure used to "reboot" or relax

Weight loss (bad habit) adjustment

the patient imagines engaging in a bad habit while the practitioner corrects areas needing attention

Xyphoid/Zyphoid

a small bone at the bottom of the sternum

Zygomatic bone

cranial bone that makes up lower eye orbit
